The SNOO is a smart bassinet designed by Dr. Harvey Karp. According to the manufacturer, babies can use the SNOO until they have maxed out on the weight and height limits and they recommend making the switch around 5-6 months old. But many parents find themselves at a loss for how to transition their child out of the SNOO, especially when it is working well. The thought of moving your sweet little one away from something that is helping them sleep through the night can seem daunting and overwhelming - but it doesn’t have to be! Before you even make the jump, there are things you can do to help make the transition out of the SNOO a little less intimidating and, if you’re ready for personalized help, our custom custom consultations will set you up with a certified sleep consultant to support you through every step of moving your baby out of the SNOO.

There is no perfect waketime for every age but, we’ve done our best to help with this chart of waketimes by age. It is much easier to extend your baby’s wake time tomorrow than it is to deal with an overtired baby who was up too long. Remember, sleep begets sleep, keeping your baby up will not help them sleep longer!
